Who these terms are with

Your contract for Rapid Padel court hire, coaching, organised sessions, equipment hire or any Rapid membership is with Rapid Padel Ltd (“Rapid Padel”, “we”, “us”), company number 17300914, registered in England and Wales. Our venue is Unit 27, Portishead Business Park, Old Mill Road, Portishead, BS20 7BX. Contact hello@rapidpadel.co.uk.

Padel Mates provides the digital booking platform used by Rapid. Its own user terms and privacy information may also apply to your use of its app. These Rapid terms govern the service supplied by Rapid Padel. These terms are published pre-launch for transparency; no court booking or paid Rapid 40 membership is available until we confirm bookings are open.

02

Bookings, payment and open matches

The person making a court booking must be at least 18 and is responsible for the booking, payment and reasonable conduct of their group. A booking is confirmed only when the required payment has been accepted and confirmation appears in the Padel Mates App.

Before you pay, the booking flow will show the total price, session duration, participant limits and any material booking conditions. Where an open match or organised game is offered, places may be booked by individual players through the Padel Mates App rather than one person bringing a full group of four. Do not attend unless you have a confirmed place or booking.

03

Door access, codes and unmanned operation

Rapid is designed to operate without staff continuously present. When you book a court, the Padel Mates access system is intended to provide the player with a code for the booked period, giving access to the facility and court. Keep your booking and access details available when you arrive.

Your code or digital credential is linked to your booking. Do not publish it, pass it to unbooked visitors or use it to give access outside your booking. Do not tailgate through secure doors or allow unknown people to enter with your group. Access may be limited to a reasonable period around the booked session.

Follow all door, fire, emergency, court and security instructions. If entry fails, follow the Rapid contact or emergency instructions displayed at the venue. Misuse of access credentials may lead to suspension or cancellation of booking privileges.

04

Court use and player responsibility

Court hire is for the booked activity and time. Arrive ready to play, use the court only for padel or an activity specifically authorised by Rapid, and leave promptly at the end of your session so the next booking can start on time.

Padel is a physical racket sport involving foreseeable risks including slips, trips, sudden movement, collision with other players, rackets, balls, glass walls, fencing and the court surface. Players should decide whether they are fit to participate, wear suitable court footwear, use equipment safely and stop playing if injured, unwell or if the court appears unsafe.

Commercial coaching or paid instruction at Rapid may only be delivered by coaches approved by Rapid unless we agree otherwise in writing.

05

Cancellations, credits and refunds

The cancellation window and any available credit or refund will be shown in the Padel Mates App before you pay. Court bookings and other leisure services reserved for a specific date or period do not generally carry the usual 14-day statutory cooling-off right that can apply to some online purchases.

If you cancel late or do not attend, any amount retained or charged will be governed by the cancellation policy shown at booking and must reflect a fair and reasonable position, including our loss and any ability to resell the slot. If Rapid cancels a paid booking, we will offer an appropriate replacement, credit or refund. Nothing in these terms limits statutory consumer rights.

06

Racket hire, supplied balls and retail purchases

Rackets will be available to hire and balls are supplied for play, unless a particular session states otherwise. Hire equipment remains Rapid’s property and must be returned after use. You are responsible for taking reasonable care of hired equipment and may be charged the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing equipment lost or damaged through deliberate or negligent misuse.

Rackets and new tubes of balls may also be available to buy. Your statutory rights for retail goods are not affected; goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose where the law requires.

07

Rapid 40 and other memberships

Rapid 40 is an optional membership limited to 40 places. Before you purchase any membership we will clearly state its price, minimum or fixed term, priority booking window, benefits, usage limits, renewal position and cancellation rights. Priority booking gives earlier access to availability; it does not guarantee a particular court time.

Membership benefits are personal and non-transferable unless expressly stated otherwise. We will not automatically renew a paid membership unless the purchase information clearly says it will renew and you have agreed to that arrangement. Any statutory cancellation information that applies to an online membership will be provided at purchase.

08

Coaching, socials and organised sessions

Coaching, open matches, social play and junior sessions may be delivered by Rapid, approved coaches or appointed partners. Session format, level guidance, minimum attendance and any specific cancellation terms will be displayed when relevant. If Rapid cancels a paid organised session, we will provide an appropriate replacement, credit or refund.

Player levels used for open matches are intended to help create suitable games but cannot guarantee an exact standard or match outcome. Treat other players, coaches and visitors respectfully.

09

Children and safeguarding

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless attending a specifically advertised and appropriately supervised junior session. The adult making or supervising the booking remains responsible for children in their group outside a supervised session.

Before organised junior activity launches, Rapid will publish or make available the safeguarding arrangements that apply to those sessions. Additional consent, emergency-contact or health information may be requested where reasonably necessary.

10

Behaviour, damage and security

We may refuse or suspend access where reasonably necessary for safety, security or serious or repeated breach of venue rules. This includes threatening or abusive behaviour, deliberate damage, misuse of access codes, unauthorised entry, theft, unsafe play or interference with security, lighting, CCTV or access-control systems.

You are responsible for deliberate or negligent damage caused by you and may also be responsible for damage caused by guests where it is fair and reasonable to hold you responsible. Any charge will be limited to the reasonable loss or repair cost.

11

Liability

Rapid is responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or negligence. We are not responsible for loss caused by a player’s failure to follow reasonable safety instructions, misuse of facilities or the ordinary inherent risks of participating in sport where Rapid has not been negligent.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms removes your statutory consumer rights.

12

Operational changes and service interruption

We may make reasonable changes for safety, maintenance, security, legal requirements, coach availability or events outside our reasonable control. If a material change prevents us providing a paid booking or materially affects a fixed-term paid benefit, we will provide an appropriate remedy having regard to the circumstances.

Digital booking, payment and access systems can occasionally fail. If a failure prevents access to a confirmed paid session and the service cannot reasonably be restored, contact Rapid so we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy.

13

Complaints and governing law

Please send booking, membership or service complaints to hello@rapidpadel.co.uk with enough information for us to investigate. We will try to resolve issues fairly and promptly.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not remove any mandatory rights or jurisdiction protections that apply to you where you live.
